20 Types Marathon Challenge
Found a great post off Problogger on ‘20 Types of Blog Posts- Battling Bloggers Block’.

So I’ve decided to write 1 Type of blog entry every day in order as listed for the next 20 days. Should be good for a personal project/practice in discipline/exercise in broader styles of writing. Today I’m going to take an exception, work backward and start with #20, ‘Memes and Projects’. My community project is to challenge others to do a 20 Types Marathon on their blogs. If you decide to join the challenge, feel free to post a link to your blog for everyone to peruse and be inspired by. *added* if enough people join the marathon team, i’ll just do a 20 Types blogroll… i’m off to warm up my creative writing muscles…
The 20 Types of blog posts are:
1) Instructional
2) Informational
3) Reviews
4) Lists
5) Interviews
6) Case Studies
7) Profiles
Link Posts
9) ‘Problem’ Posts
10) Contrasting Two Options
11) Rant (this one should be easy)
12) Inspirational
13) Research
14) Collation Posts
15) Prediction and Review Posts
16) Critique Posts
17) Debate
1
Hypothetical Posts
19) Satirical
20) Memes and Projects

what a great idea - I wish I’d thought of it!!
Posted 2 years, 7 months agoBradsblog is my blog that features mostly product reviews, but also has rants. I would like to put it up for submission.
Posted 2 years, 7 months agoI’m in. Love this idea. I’m going to begin at the bottom too with Memes and Projects on my main blog Noodling at http://www.noodlefactory.net
Posted 2 years, 7 months agoGreat plan! And a fine example of how bloggers bounce off one another to come up with ever-more-interesting concepts, expressions, hypotheses, explorations, meditations… I’ll be reading with interest!
Posted 2 years, 7 months agoI am up for the challenge. It will be a good way for a newbie expose themselves to new types of writing. There is no better way to learn, do!
Mine will all associate with music, at http://thesongblog.com
Posted 2 years, 7 months agoI heard about this idea on the 29th, but just found out via Successful Blog that you’ve issued a challenge. Now, that sounds like fun!
Can I also include that cool logo jpg on my posts?
Great inspiration, thanks. I’ve added you to my subscriptions.
Posted 2 years, 7 months agoWell, I did subscribe, but it wasn’t easy. There appears to be a bug in your feed, at the bottom of the page.
The link begins “feed:http://…” That’s not a valid feed address –at least, not one that Bloglines, or even Firefox can display.
I don’t know if it’s your blog, or a bug in WordPress.com. At any rate, you might want to check it out.
Posted 2 years, 7 months agoSure, count me in!
Posted 2 years, 7 months agoI’m game!
Posted 2 years, 7 months agoI have begun the same thing on my own “Outdoors” related Blog.
Thanks goes out to Darren and this blog for the inspiration.
Here we go……
